The new Cast Iron Always Pan from Our Place is the latest kitchen tool to come from the Instagram-famous brand. Back when we tested the original Always Pan, some of the major drawbacks we noticed were the less-than-optimal heat retention and the lack of oven-safe functionality. The cast iron edition aims to ease those concerns, with the ability to better distribute heat on any style stovetop and withstand temperatures up to 500° in the oven.

What sets this pan apart from other cast iron skillets is its minimal upkeep. Typically, cast iron pans require regular seasoning and distinct cleaning techniques to maintain their precious patina (that ever-lasting, nonstick finish). But Our Place promises all the benefits of cast iron without any of the upkeep, thanks to the pan's enameled cast iron material that's glossy, easy to clean and self-maintaining.

Similar to other cast irons, though, this pan gets hot—really hot—and that includes the handles. That's why each Cast Iron Always Pan comes with silicone Hot Grips (matching the pan's respective colors) that are custom-fit for both the long and short handles. It also comes with a glass lid that's great for peeping what’s inside to decide if you want to trap or release steam while cooking.
